Exam Focus

  • Do not serve from broken or damaged bottle lips.
  • Watch for rust, dried beer, or yeast on the lip.
  • Present corks to the consumer when present.
  • Retain crowns for rare, unusual, or new beers when appropriate.

Post-opening inspection

A final look protects the guest from damaged glass and prevents rust, dried beer, or unwanted yeast from affecting the beer in the glass.
